Rules And Policy
1. Discipline will be maintained at all times so that everyone has a great experience. Theatre requires everyone’s full focus and we handle on going problem areas as follows:
A) Verbal Warning B) Letter to Parents C) Dismissal
2. Theatre classes will be held at the Melodrama and Linda Larma and Daughters Academe of Dance from June 30th – August 7th . Classes will meet Monday thru Thursdays
AM session – 9:00AM to 12:00noon
PM session – 1:00PM to 4:00PM
Your child will have two performances at The Gaslight Melodrama
AM session – August 11th and 12th
PM session – August 13th and 14th
Tickets will be sold at $12.00 a seat.
3. Parents are not allowed to attend class with their children, but are responsible for helping their children learn their lines and making sure that their child has workshop materials (scripts, notebooks ect.) at every class.
4. Please give a two week notice if your child will be absent for an extended period of time. Chronic absenteeism will result in role replacement.
5. Production rehearsals are closed. All visitors must be cleared through Executive Directors. The Children will be well supervised.
6. Young actors will remain in the building at all times unless accompanied by an instructor.
7. Wear comfortable clothing. Tennis shoes are recommended.
8. During the workshop there will be a snack break. You may bring your own snack in a named marked container. The snack bar at the Melodrama will also be open if you would like to make a purchase.
9. No gum chewing will be allowed in class
10 Everyone is expected to show respect for the staff, each other, and the theatre and its surroundings (see rule #1)
- Clean up after yourselves and throw trash in trashcans
- Listen and speak politely.
- Treat others the way you like to be treated
11. Basic costume articles will be provided; however, the actors may be asked to provide some costume pieces, such as pants or shirts. Actors will provide their own socks and shoes, tights and leotards as requested by the director.
12. Tuition deposits and tuition are non refundable

______________________________ do hereby give my permission and consent to the representatives of The Gaslight Melodrama to seek any emergency medical treatment for my child. It is understood that this consent form is given in advance before any specific treatment is required. This is given to encourage those persons who have temporary custody of my child during my absence to use their best judgment as to any medical treatment required. This consent shall remain effective from June 31 thru August 14, 2008. I am also aware the during the said activities that my child participates in, certain risks may occur, including but not limited to falling or slipping to the floor, running into other participants and activities that may result in various injuries. In recognition of these risks, I hereby agree not to hold The Gaslight Melodrama and Music Hall, Linda Larma and Daughters Academe of Dance or their employees liable for any injuries that may occur during participation of said activities. I hereby give my consent to allow my son/daughter to participate in the above activity. I hereby stated that minor is physically able to participate.
